These customized U-groove machinable glass ceramic blocks feature compact pure white bodies and middle curved grooves. They serve as positioning supports, insulating holders and pipe limit brackets.

Machinable Glass Ceramic Block

The high performance machinable glass ceramic boasts zero water absorption and extremely low apparent porosity.

With suitable Mohs hardness, it can be CNC-processed for grooving, hole-drilling and curved surface milling. Complicated profiles are available without costly moulds.

Thanks to satisfying mechanical property, high temperature endurance and fine insulation, the component suits high temperature instruments, heating hardware and sensor fixtures.

Physical feature: Mohs hardness 4-5, resistant to edge-chipping during machining.

Density reaches 2.6g/cm³ with dense waterproof texture.
Thermal resistance: Average thermal expansion coefficient 72×10^-7/℃ from -50℃-200℃ for good thermal shock resistance. Its long-term service temperature is under 800℃ without softening.
Mechanical property: Flexural strength>108MPa, compression strength>508MPa and favourable impact resistance to bear squeeze and vibration.
Electrical insulating performance: Low dielectric loss and permittivity 6~7 deliver stable high temperature insulation.
