Our porous ceramic electrode wick, also known as electrode sand core wick or salt-bridge ceramic core, is sintered microporous ceramic component specially designed for laboratory reference electrodes. Relying on interconnected internal micro-pores, it enables stable ion penetration and liquid junction, which is essential for salt-bridge assembly and electrochemical testing. 

Porous Ceramic Wick Characteristics

Manufactured through high-temperature sintering process, this cylindrical ceramic core delivers consistent ion-conducting performance for various lab electrochemical cells.

Custom dimensions, pore size and porosity are available to match different reference electrode housing structures for research and industrial measurement projects.

According to technical specification, electrode wick density is 1.8-2.2g/cm3.

Its open porosity ranges 20-30%, total porosity rate reaches 25-40%, water absorption is 10-28%, and stable pore size keeps 1-3μm.

The evenly distributed micropores support moderate ion exchange while effectively restraining bulk liquid leakage.
 
Fine dimensional accuracy ensures tight fitting inside electrode shell.
 
Good chemical stability enables it to work with most conventional electrolyte solutions under normal lab operating conditions.
