Customized Low Density Macor Tube Electrical Insulating Pipe Machinable Glass Ceramic Bush

It is precision-manufactured from premium Macor machinable glass ceramic blank. As hollow cylindrical insulating components, these Macor bushes are widely used for electrical isolation, high temperature spacing, shaft sleeve protection and internal support in laser equipment, vacuum chambers, high voltage power modules, laboratory test instruments and semiconductor devices.

Machinable Glass Ceramic Bush

Different from alumina, zirconia and other sintered technical ceramics, Macor glass ceramic can be directly processed by standard CNC turning equipment. Complex inner hole structures, outer diameter steps, grooves and end face features can be achieved with carbide cutting tools, without diamond grinding or post processing high temperature sintering. There will be no sintering shrinkage, so inner diameter, outer diameter and length can maintain high dimensional accuracy.  

Stable heat resistant and insulating capacity for carrying components and electrical isolation under high temperature.
Non-absorbent dense material prevents damp ageing and adapts to dusty and humid working surroundings.
Drawing-based customization covers diameter, thickness, surface finish and additional hole or slot structures. Raw blanks and finished machined workpieces are both provided.

Machinable Glass Ceramic Features

The high performance machinable glass ceramic boasts zero water absorption and extremely low apparent porosity. With moderate hardness, it can be CNC-drilled, milled, grooved and tapped directly. Multi-hole arrays, steps and grooves are available without costly moulds. Combining excellent mechanical strength, high temperature endurance and fine electrical insulation, the plates suit high temperature instruments, heating equipment, semiconductor fixtures and precision testing jigs.

Mohs hardness 4-5. Hole walls stay smooth and chip resistant during drilling, ensuring accurate hole position and diameter.
 
Density reaches about 2.6g/cm³ with a dense waterproof texture.

Thermal resistance: Average thermal expansion coefficient 72×10^-7/℃ from -50℃ to 200℃ for outstanding thermal shock resistance.
